Let the festivities be-GIN!
This World Gin Day (Saturday 13 June), premium tonic water brand Fever-Tree will bring their much-loved Gin & Tonic Festival to homes right across Australia. May we introduce the world’s first online Fever-Tree Gin & Tonic Festival. Even better, it’s free to attend!
Following the success of their Fever-Tree G&T Festival in 2019, this year’s online festival will offer lovers of the mesmerising tipple the opportunity to explore the world of gin and tonic. The online soiree will share online gin-tasting experiences with masterclasses offering virtual attendees 90 minutes of gin and tonic goodness.
Running from 5.30 – 7pm, leading Australian bartenders will be on hand to give recommendations on the ultimate gin and tonic combinations. This will be matched with flavour-packed gins and a variety of signature tonics to help you spruce up an old favourite or transform your average tipple into a perfect concoction.
On top of this, master gin distillers will be able to walk you through the history and process of creating some of the world’s best-loved gin, while MasterChef Australia’s Simon Toohey will also be sharing his perfect food pairings.
The Fever-Tree Gin & Tonic Festival 2020 aims to highlight the wonderful world of modern gin featuring local favourites including Four Pillars and Adelaide Hills, as well as international legends such as Bombay Sapphire and Hendrick’s Gin and many more.
If you haven’t got any gin or matching ingredients at home, don’t fret! A limited number of festival packs will also be available for pre-purchase ($55). They will include eight gins, eight Fever-Tree tonics, homemade garnishes from Fever-Tree’s brand ambassador Trish Braw, as well as glassware and a tasting mat. That’s basically everything you need for the ultimate at-home gin and tonic tasting experience. And you can buy them here!
But you don’t need to buy a pack to join the free virtual festival! As long as you’ve got the necessary ingredients, you can easily take part in the fun. By law, you must be over the age of 18 to attend.
