To celebrate World Whisky Day (16 May), Johnnie Walker has teamed up with Dan Murphy’s to launch Australia’s biggest virtual whisky tasting. The interactive session will go live via Dan Murphy’s Facebook page at 7pm on Saturday 16 May, encouraging Australian whisky aficionados join in hope of setting the Guinness World Record.
Johnnie Walker brand ambassadors, Katie Nagar and Krystal Hart, will be hosting the event, treating participants to a guided tasting of their expertly distilled whiskies, matched with food pairings and exciting giveaways.
“We are delighted to be celebrating World Whisky Day in such a big way for 2020, bringing together whisky fans from Australia and beyond to attempt to break a Guinness World Record,” Katie Nagar said.
“As the world’s number one Scotch whisky celebrating its 200th year, Johnnie Walker is the ideal Scotch to raise a glass with on this wonderful day. I’d encourage everyone to join us this Saturday night.”

Ingredients:
30mL Johnnie Walker Red or Black Label
30mL Lemon Barley Cordial
120mL soda water (to top)
Ice
Lemon wedge
Method:
1. Add Johnnie Walker and Lemon Barley Cordial to highball glass.
2. Fill with ice.
3. Top up with soda water.
4. Garnish with lemon wedge.
