With barefoot bowls open Wednesday to Sunday (as well as Mondays and Tuesdays throughout December) Merthyr Bowls Club should be your go-to for group-friendly fun this summer. Queensland’s Chermside Bowls Club should be one of your top picks when it comes to the best lawn bowl clubs in Australia. As well as sensational lawn and barefoot bowls on offer, you’ll also want to take part in Chermside’s Thursday Trivia Night! Operating since 1947, for the past 73 years, Clovelly Bowling and Recreation Club has been a must for any lawn-bowl-loving Sydneysider. Featuring shoes-on bowling as well as barefoot bowls, we can assure one thing, with views like this, Clovelly Bowling really is a win. Plus, they even shake up a delectable selection of cocktails!

Broadbeach Bowls Club, QLD
Found on the northern side of Broadbeach Park, Broadbeach Bowls Club is one of Queensland’s best lawn bowl clubs – and it’s found in the Gold Coast! With free live entertainment, every Friday night and Sunday Sessions starting from 3pm you know you’re in for an exciting evening. And, let’s not forget Broadbeach Bowls Club’s in-house bistro serves up everything from oysters, burgers and a pub-style feed to a variety of delicious cocktails. Found just a short walk from some of the city’s best beaches, if you’d rather keep dry, we’d recommend visiting one of Brighton Bowling Club’s three bowls fields. Perfect for competitive and social bowlers this welcoming spot is worth a visit– and it’s only $10 to play!

Overlooking the Swan River, Mosman Park Bowling Club is internationally recognised as ‘the club with the million-dollar view’. And after one visit you’ll soon realise why.
