The Langham, Melbourne and internationally-renowned fashion illustrator Kerrie Hess are excited to announce the debut of The Residence by Kerrie Hess. The fashion icon has produced a range of breath-taking illustrations for Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Net-a-Porter and now, The Langham, Melbourne.

“The Langham, Melbourne has been my home away from home for many years,” Kerrie Hess says, “and now I have truly re-created my home here at The Langham, Melbourne.”

Their long-standing partnership dates back to 2013 when the hotel hosted a Kerrie Hess art and afternoon tea series of events. Since then, the stylish hotel and the international fashionista have teamed up on an array of solo exhibitions, Instagram takeovers and the commissioning of exclusive prints that are available from the hotel’s petite luxury boutique, Flavours of Langham.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with world-renowned Kerrie Hess on this unique project and our first designer suite here at The Langham, Melbourne,” says André Jacques, Director of Sales & Marketing. “[It] will provide an elevated residential experience at our hotel for our domestic and suite customers.

“The suite is a spacious haven in which to relax and entertain and features parquetry floors, high ceilings, chandeliers, an abundance of natural light and inviting soft furnishings custom-made in collaboration with Kerrie Hess.”

Guests are now able to experience overnight stays in The Residence by Kerrie Hess. The gorgeously designed suite includes two bedrooms featuring a soft, muted palette of pastels throughout including Langham’s signature pale pink. There are also 14 iconic illustrations by Kerrie Hess, including a new specially commissioned piece of a couture model, dressed in a pink ball gown, set in the suite’s elegant lobby. Speaking of the lobby, it’s a spacious living area complete with a cocktail cart as well as a well-equipped kitchen and dining room that seats four guests.

“The suite even has a delightful rosé Champagne and specially made Koko Black chocolates. I love the idea of booking a romantic night in or a celebration with friends,” says Kerrie Hess.

The Experience

The Experience package is available from $1650.00 per suite, per night for up to four guests and includes a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, Koko Black chocolates in couture-inspired packaging and three bespoke Kerrie Hess postcards to send or take home.

The package also includes valet parking and access to the hotel’s fitness centre, conservatory-covered pool, spa, sauna and steam room. In addition, The Experience package also allows access for you and your three guests to the hotel’s exclusive club lounge with the opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea, evening cocktails and canapés, breakfast and morning tea. Located on the 24th floor of the hotel, the club lounge boasts stunning views of the Yarra River, Southbank and Flinders Street Station and is well-known their generous selection of varied dishes including sushi and small plates such as butter chicken and premium wines.

The Designer

The Designer package is available from $2200.00 per night and includes all of the elements of The Experience package plus fresh flowers, a pair of personalised designer pyjamas, two 60-minute treatments at Chuan Spa (including the option of one of Chuan Spa’s new LED light therapy facials) and a Season’s Harvest picnic hamper for two that can be enjoyed/served in The Residence suite, riverside or at the Royal Botanic Gardens. This decadent picnic includes a Queensland king prawn cocktail with celery and Marie-rose sauce, pepper-crusted beef brisket pastrami from Daylesford, Tasmanian smoked salmon and green asparagus salad, beetroot and hummus dips, fresh vegetables and cherry bocconcini with marinated olives and semi-dried tomatoes.

Regardless of what package you choose, guests can book an afternoon tea with Wedgwood to be enjoyed at Aria Bar & Lounge or in the comfort of The Residence by Kerrie Hess. Residents may also choose to dine from the hotel’s new in-room dining menu or visit Melba Restaurant where 70% of ingredients are sourced from within Victoria. Our top tip?
