Looking for the best restaurants in Fremantle? Look no further than The Sunshine Harvester Works – Perth’s newest dining hub.
If you often struggle choosing one place or cuisine for your next feast, then we have the perfect solution for you: The Sunshine Harvester Works – Fremantle’s newest dining hub that is filled with some of Perth’s best food innovators.
Outside, the space is not hard to miss, with its large sunshine-yellow sign brightening the East Fremantle precinct and architecturally beautiful white stone that opens up to a large warehouse space. Inside is just as cool, where the food establishments line the walls of the venue and long, wooden tables sit in the centre, perfect for communal eating amongst friends. There is plenty of greenery climbing the walls and hanging from the roof, making The Sunshine Harvester Works a vibrant place that is sure to be bustling all night.
Perth’s newest dining hub, The Sunshine Harvester Works, also includes permanent pop-up establishments such as ex-Masterchef contestant Brendon Pang’s dumpling eatery Bumplings, Dingo Sauce Co which was featured on Hot Ones with Sean Evans, Stampede Gelato, plant based Gratias Organic and Short Order Burger Co. Regardless of your choice, there is definitely an eatery that can satisfy everyone’s hunger, whether you are out with friends, family or your partner. For a refreshing drink to pair alongside your meal, Union Brewery is serving up the best selection of whisky, beer, gin, limoncello and grappa from South Fremantle local Steve Ryan. There are 10 beers on tap, including barrel-aged Belgium Dubbel and a white IPA as well as a 70.4% single malt whisky – definitely not for the light-hearted!
One of the more exciting food establishments to set-up within the industrial warehouse space is Al Pastor, a taqueria and tequila bar that strives to deliver only the best and most authentic Mexican food. The menu includes a variety of tacos, quesadillas and burritos that can be filled with a number of protein options like carnitas (confit pork), pollo asada (grilled chicken) or suadero (beef short rib). We highly recommend trying the restaurant’s namesake; the Al Pastor – perfectly cooked rotisserie pork shoulder which is complemented by the sweetness of pineapple to make for a light and refreshing meal, especially when topped with one of the avocado or salsa dressings. Paying tribute to Mexico, Al Pastor will be shaking up your Sunshine Harvester Works experience with their licensed space. This means that guests will access to an array of tequila-infused drinks including traditional margaritas and Palmoa’s which is a refreshing mix of tequila, lime and sparkling grapefruit.
When heading to The Sunshine Harvester Works, there is no need for a discussion about what food you want as there is definitely something for everyone. It really is the perfect venue for dinner or for after-work or weekend drinks with friends and family!
