Famed Sydney Mexican restaurant is shaking up springtime plans with a three-course Cointreau margarita menu!
Sydney, clear your calendars this October as we’re celebrating all-rounder favourite, Cointreau.
Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the margarita cocktail, Cointreau – the iconic orange-flavoured liqueur – has partnered with luxe Sydney-based Mexican restaurant, Londres 126 for a limited three-course menu available in October.
Of course, in true Cointreau fashion, this exclusive dining experience will include three paired margarita cocktails to meticulously match each of the courses, showcasing the diversity and timeless appeal of the beloved cocktail.
Perfect for margarita enthusiasts, this unique culinary collaboration promises to tantalise the senses thanks to the thoughtfully crafted and curated set menu which was designed to complement the classic cocktail. The menu includes the likes of Crispy Pork Belly and Leek Corn Esquites matched with a classic 75th Margarita for starters.
Moving on to mains, match the refreshing French Cooler Margarita with either the vegetarian and vegan-friendly Cauliflower Steak or the sensational Grilled Mackerel with brussel sprouts that harmonises the cocktail’s zest.
Finally, to finish, pick between the Cointreau-infused Tres Leches Cake or the gluten- and guilt-free Raspberry Cointreau Sorbet to pair with the sweet and delightfully tangy Palomita.
In addition to the delightful Cointreau set menu, Londres 126 also has their range of limited-edition margarita cocktails available at the bar. Curated by Cointreau’s global brand ambassador Kevin Sueiro and Londres 126’s mixologist Enzo Boragno, pick between the Classic Margarita, the 75th Margarita, Espresso Borracho, French Cooler and the Palomita.
More than a triple sec, the French-crafted orange liqueur is distilled with a combination of sweet and bitter orange peel that enhances the flavours of cocktails. Fast forward to 1948, the classic cocktail was created by socialite Margarita Sames who combined two of her favourite spirits, Cointreau and tequila, along with lime juice. Today, Cointreau alongside the likes of Londres 126, are celebrating the rich (and tasty) heritage.
