Think you’re cool Melbourne? Now is your chance to finally chill – inside an igloo.
If you’ve ever dreamt of snuggling up inside of your own private igloo, with an espresso martini in one hand and a bewitching winter wonderland outside; now, your dreams can finally come true thanks to Australian Venue Co.
This winter, to help celebrate the awakening of Melbourne’s hospitality industry and the arrival of this magical season, three Australian Venue Co establishments will be adorned with a range of pop-up igloos to help you celebrate the post-isolation catchup in style.
These enchanting winter igloo gardens will be found at three of the city’s supreme venues – The Auburn Hotel in Hawthorn, The Wharf Hotel in Docklands and the The Station Hotel in Footscray. Each will have a range of one-and-a-half to two-hour private bookings available perfect for you and a bunch of your food-loving, cocktail-indulging friends.
The igloo’s are available for groups of two to four people so you can all comfortably snuggle up inside and enjoy everything the igloos have to offer.
Each of the three igloo-housed Australian Venue Co establishments will also provide a unique and delicious three-course meal with your booking so that you can ignite your experience with some delectable winter warmers. Plus, did we mention that you’ll also be treated to a tipple of your choice? That’s right, alongside your meal, guests will have the opportunity to try an Espresso Martini, Hot Toddy, a glass of house wine or a schooner of beer. Now that’s chillingly satisfying.
Priced from $49 per person, guests will make their way into the igloos complete with twinkling fairy lights and Scandi-inspired decor – fluffy pillows and all – to help you feel like you’re in the real deal. And, if you don’t cope with the cold too well (we understand), you can also purchase a take-home fleece blanket for $5.
To ensure that igloos are up to all health standards, Australian Venue Co. will ensure that each igloo booking is divided by a 30-minute break to undergo a strict cleaning regime.
Plus, for added convenience (tell us more) thanks to a partnership with Mr Yum, if customers wish to order another drink without leaving the igloo, they can simply order and pay on their phone via the venues’ websites and their items will be brought over by staff directly to your table. – no app downloading needed!
For those who are looking for a bit of family-friendly fun, Studley Park Boathouse are set to launch their very own family-friendly igloo package too.
So grab your friends, pop on your jacket or two and head on down for a party in an igloo!
