Brisbane, you’ve been blessed with the best!
Chicken. Whether you’re a buffalo wing, fried wing or chicken tender bender, we can agree that all are just equally finger-licking delicious as each other. And now, Australia’s chicken wing-praising-bar, WingHAÜS, has paired two of Australia’s most loved southern-American staples to create the ultimate collaboration.
We present you with Jack Daniel’s fried chicken.
That’s right. As part of their Allstar Flavour Series, Brisbane bound WingHAÜS will be serving up a range of limited-edition menu items including chicken wings, burgers and slushies all glazed and tippled with the iconic Jack Daniels flavour.
As a testament to the south, dishes will be crumbed and fried in true WingHAÜS style, but this time, served dripping in a drool-worthy sticky maple-brown Jack Daniels syrup.
But it doesn’t stop there. If wings aren’t your thing, burger fiends will find the newest creation to bite into – the JD’s Chookhaüs burger. Layered between a soft white bun, diners will be thrilled by the secret-spiced chicken breast, sticky Jack Daniel’s sauce, habanero hot sauce, cheese, pickles and a side of chips – this is the kind of burger that needs two hands.
To wash it all down, WingHAÜS will be serving a frozen Jack and Coke thanks to their trusty slushie machine – perfect to combat the summer heat. For those with a sweeter tooth, you can even add a float of Chambord for soft undertones of black raspberry.
Each limited-edition Allstar Flavour Series changes every few months and will hero a new flavour that inspires different elements of the menu: from wings to burgers, drinks and desserts.
Of course, for those who don’t favour the renowned Jack Daniel’s flavour, the Sticky Jack Daniel’s concoction sauce joins eight of WingHAÜS’ signature sauces which include teriyaki, Texas BBQ, traditional hot sauce, Korean, habanero, chipotle, afterburner and face-melting – the choice is really up to you.
Available in servings of 10, 15, 20, 50 or 100, WingHAÜS’ chicken goodies are also served with an array of dips including blue cheese, ranch dressing, honey and mustard, garlic and haüs. Plus you can pair your meal with a side of coleslaw, pickled vegetables, deep-fried pickles, chips, onion rings, collard greens, mash and gravy.
The creator of the Sticky Jack Daniel’s sauce, culinary chef, Jeffrey Sue, wanted to add an exceptionally sticky sauce to the menu, for the fingerlickin’ fun of it. “Jack Daniel’s adds a depth of flavour and mellow undertones to a sauce that is sticky, sweet and has an incredible glaze,” says Jeff. “It’s difficult to stop eating these wings, they’re so addictively good.”
