“We are excited to announce Frogmore Creek have opened their highly anticipated second venue Frogmore Creek City; a project that brings their exceptional food, wine and service to the Hobart waterfront, joining the growing Macquarie Point precinct.”
The vision, to bring Frogmore Creek to the city, started three years ago with the idea to create an evening dining experience and expand on the success of the Cellar Door and Restaurant in Cambridge, Tasmania.
A unique opportunity for a winery to develop a concept restaurant outside the vineyard setting; the team were confident, with the popularity of Frogmore Creek Cambridge and the appetite for dining in Hobart, the time was right.

“The site had everything we were looking for and most importantly it was a true reflection of our home base in Cambridge with stunning views and architecture,” says Ruben Koopman, Frogmore Creek’s Hospitality Director and Executive Chef.
The size and layout of the ground floor corner position at the base of the new Mac01 building, allowed the team to rethink their original concept and ultimately design two venues in one. This lead to creating multiple dining options; an elegant Lounge and Bar space along with the signature dining experience called Atmosphere by Frogmore Creek.
The team oversaw every aspect of the project from the base build through to the interior design. “Nothing in this project has been left to chance, every piece of equipment, chair, knife, vessel and bench top has been selected to best reflect the brand and deliver an elegant yet relaxed space,” says National Marketing Manager, Sheila Temata.

Atmosphere by Frogmore Creek is a multi-sensory dining experience which will take you on an untold journey through a hidden menu. Designed by Ruben Koopman and The Creative, there are three levels of experience to choose from; the all-inclusive Atmosphere Stealth or menu only options Gold and Bronze. With no menu available, guests are encouraged to trust the team, let the experience flow and prepaying ensures the transaction doesn’t break the evening’s experience.
The Lounge is an elegant, casual space designed as an extension of your living room. With a Tasmanian focused lunch and dinner menu, all day snacks, concept cocktails, international and local beer and ciders, compliment the full Frogmore Creek wine portfolio.
Frogmore Creek City is now open at the base of one of the hottest hotel openings of 2017, Mac01 Hotel. The spaces are elevated over Kings Wharf with unsurpassed views capturing Hobart City and Mt Wellington at their finest.
