Prepare your appetites, because Newtown’s Good Food Fair is back with food to spare.

Running for one day only on the Sunday 8 October, Newtown’s Good Food Fair will showcase all the highlights of Newtown’s diverse food and drinks scene – something which has become synonymous with the area.  In its fourth year the fair will take over Newtown Square and Eliza Street where close to 30 stallholders will be celebrating the suburb’s eclectic offering and community spirit. And what would a fair be without live entertainment? You can expect music and a whole lot more that’ll keep the whole family entertained which will help to raise funds for the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, a program which provides assistance to individuals throughout the Inner West who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Jam-packed full of good food, here are some of the delights you can expect to find on the day:

Gelato Messina Newtown
The makers of Messina’s gelatos come with two aims in mind – make it natural, and make it good.

Mary’s
The founders of Mary’s wanted to bring American diner culture to Australia, and they’ve done a bang-up job at it.

Black Star Pastry
The breakout pastry star of Australia is back! Worldwide famous for their stunning strawberry watermelon cake – a piece of dessert goodness that’s been photographed by scores of keen Instagrammers – their other offerings are equally as delectable.


Bloodwood
Drawing inspiration from the founders’ love of fresh produce, Bloodwood is a haven of fine dining share dishes. With menu items as wild and varied as polenta chips with gorgonloza sauce to fresh pear and hazelnut with radicchio, radish, and garlic crumbs, Bloodwood’s stall is super to offer food to tantalise the tastebuds.

Acre Eatery
Acre Eatery is committed to bringing the farm to their customers, funnelling supplies directly from Pocket City Farms to offer the freshest dishes. With seasonal fare to nourish the palate, Acre Eatery is going to be a must-stop food stall.
