Southeast Melbourne will explode with wine and food this month with their annual East Malvern Food + Wine Festival. The soiree will showcase a spectacular selection of exquisite wines and delectable delicacies from across Victoria in the picturesque Central Park on Sunday 17 November.
The festival will serve up an eclectic range of exceptional wines from 17 Victorian wine regions including Bendigo, Heathcote, Yarra Valley and Sutton Range.
For this years event, wine connoisseurs can partake in the ultimate wine-tasting experience with the introduction of a Wine Selectors masterclass series. Take wine-tasting to the next level during one of the eight 30-minute sessions and pair a top-tier vino with fine cheeses from Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese or tantalising cured meats from The Meat Room.
Beer hunters should also take a wander down the craft beer and cider producer alley, which is set to feature sensational small-batch producers including Darraweit Valley Cider, K.BOOCH Alcoholic Kombucha and Bad Shepherd Brewing Co. For cocktail enthusiasts, there will also be unique distillers like Mr Black and Great Ocean Road Gin.
Bring your shopping bag and a hearty appetite as the East Malvern Food + Wine Festival is offering a sumptuous smorgasbord of the finest Victorian produce. Think authentic paella, hand-made pasta, divine dumplings, fresh seafood, decadent desserts, roasted coffee beans as well as gourmet condiments and bespoke Christmas puddings.
Savour the flavours of local Melbourne with an array of iconic food trucks, local restaurants and pop-up stalls including 48h Pizza e Gnocchi Bar, Mushiki dumplings, Nepal Dining Room, Timboon Fine Ice Cream and many more.
As well as hearty degustations, the East Malvern Food + Wine Festival will also share specialised treats and condiments for discerning taste buds. Think lip-smacking cold-brew tea at In2Tea, Boonderoo, Red Rock Olives, Wahrina Pistachios and Blue Tree Honey Farm.
Once you’ve had your fill and swill, unfurl that picnic rug and enjoy the captivating performances programmed by local singing and music studio House of Voice. Expertly curated by seasoned vocal coach Alisha Gartland, wine enthusiasts and music lovers alike can look forward to an afternoon of musical magnificence on the tranquil lawns of Central Park.
Even the children will be entertained with a spectacular selection of family-friendly fun on offer including face painting, live music performances on the main stage and magician master classes presented by the local Magic School of Confidence.
