With veganism becoming part of the mainstream, Dominoes Australia has decided to tap into the growing industry by releasing their specially designed vegan cheese, along with a specially crafted range of vegan pizzas.
But there’s a catch: It’s for a limited time unless it becomes popular.
“Initially vegan cheese [as well as vegan the pizza range] will be available in stores for a limited time, and if customers love it as much as we do, we will look to make this a regular feature of the Domino’s menu,” said Nick Knight, CEO of Dominos Australia and New Zealand.
“We have tested this cheese in our LuvLab development kitchen, and confirmed this vegan-friendly alternative has the same taste, texture and melt as real dairy cheese. It’s also cholesterol free, making it the perfect, healthy indulgence.”
As well as the vegan cheese, Domino’s will also offer three dedicated vegan pizzas for a limited time: the Vegan Avocado Veg, the Vegan Spicy Trio and the Vegan Margherita.
“At Domino’s, we’re all about providing choice for our customers and want to give people options to suit their diet,” continued Nick Knight.
“Our pizza sauce and bases are vegan-friendly so all of the pizzas on our menu can, in fact, be altered to suit a vegan diet. For an additional $2.95, people can simply swap out our usual mozzarella for the vegan-friendly alternative.
“This is also great news for people with allergies and food sensitivities as it contains no dairy, gluten or soy.”
Mr Knight said transparency around the Company’s ingredients is really important to customers, which is why Domino’s has partnered with Vegan Cheese supplier Follow Your Heart to offer customers this great product.
“Our ongoing journey to provide customers with a menu we are proud of and one that offers more choices led us to finding the best in taste and melt after a long search of vegan cheese options,” he said.
