Yes, World Nutella Day is real! You can thank US blogger Sara Rosso for that after she made it a thing 11 years ago. And, you can thank us too for sharing our top four eateries to taste Nutella-infused treats inside Sydney.
And please, no drooling on the keyboard…
Doughnut Time
Food coma, anyone? I know I do. Doughnut Time has ballooned into one of those trendy places to get your sugar fix. And for World Nutella Day, they leave no room to disappoint. Because they’ve got four to choose from!
There’s Stranger Rings 2.0, which is a chocolate glazed doughnut with Oreo crumbs, Nutella and edible glitter. Then there’s Love At First Bite, a Nutella-filled doughnut, dusted with cinnamon sugar. Also there’s the Montella Jordan, a cream-glazed, Nutella-filled doughnut topped with sprinkles, totes hazelnuts, mini chocolate chips, and a mini Nutella jar. And finally, to melt your tonsils, there’s the ‘Tella She’s Dreaming, a Nutella-filled doughnut with chocolate glaze, Nutella drizzle, Nutella brownie, red, white and black sprinkles, topped with gold leaf and a mini Nutella jar. I mean, seriously, check it out:
Tella Balls Dessert Bar
Okay, maybe, like some of us, you prefer something a little less “batter-ing”. Well, Tella Balls Dessert Bar has got your covered. Meet Tella Frozee, the “World’s first Nutella Slurpee”:
Okay, I lied. They do have a special treat that’ll batter you out of the park! But hey, I’m Nutelling You…. (Which is totally what they call it!). It features chocolate mud cake with a Nutella batter and iced in Salted Nutella Buttercream drizzled in a Belgian Chocolate Ganache Drip, and finally topped with not one but two Nutella jars, Nutella popcorn, Nutella chocolate bars and edible 24 karat gold leaf. It’s $45 and totally worth it!
My Sweet Box
Okay, you think I cannot out-Nutella the last post? Well check this out: My Sweet Box is offering a Nutella-overloaded box called Tella-Box. It features cronuts and Nutella-infused balls lathered with cinnamon sugar and topped with a splosh of Nutella on top, with mini cute-sized Nutella jars, and a syringe filled with Nutella. Stop your drooling!
Piccolo Me
Coffee and chocolate? Say no more! Piccolo me has four specially-crafted, Nutella-infused treats for you to feast on:
Firstly, there’s the Nutella Bomb. They created this five years ago and it features a block of frozen Nutella on a stick that you dunk into a hot cup of milk or coffee served with crushed Cadbury choc flakes. It’ll be $2 on World Nutella Day.
Then, there’s the Fried Maltella, which is simply Nutella fried ice cream topped with crushed Maltesers and warm salted caramel sauce.
Third, there is the Crospresso. This is a Nutella croissant cup created to hold a coffee shot. Not just a sugar fix, but also a caffeine fix too.
And lastly, there’s the Esprookie. A Nutella cookie cup created to hold a coffee shot. Oh my lord.
Considering the fact that “Nutella” pops up 33 times in this post, I think it may suffice to slip into a cocoa coma.
