The new burger concept bar, BunBar, has opened on Darley Road Manly and is drawing attention for serving Australia’s first ever falafel bun burger.

Yes, you read that right, a falafel BUN burger. Forget your standard sesame seed dowsed hamburger bun and expect your delicious jam-packed burger fillings wedged between two sensational slices of falafel. The falafel bun burger is entirely plant-based and the perfect option for the health-conscious or vegan burger-lover.

Better yet, the falafel bun isn’t their only new concoction. Expect the likes of a gluten-free grilled rice bun, lettuce-cup bun and BunBar’s cheekiest creation – the soft “AF” (and fluffy) bun which is made from a unique recipe based loosely on a steamed bun.

Buns aside, BunBar will be dishing out a range of other more-ish dishes including grilled ‘beef’ and ‘chicken’ vegan wraps, as well as your traditional favourites including grilled patties, chicken tenders, homestyle (skin-on) fries, falafel bites and, of course, southern fried chicken bites.

And then what better way to wash it all down than with a thirst-quenching line up of beverages including Sofi Spritz, Asahi and Young Henrys (both of which are on tap), Bone Dry Rose, “ICEY” cocktails and cold-pressed juices? Plus, if you’re after a truly satisfying sweet tooth pleaser, grab a vegan CHOC’A’DAMIN smoothie. You won’t be disappointed.
