Of course there is something going on at Bar Patrón this National Tequila Day.
Sydney’s favourite tequila bar will be shouting “salud” on Wednesday 24 July to welcome National Tequila Day. Overlooking Sydney’s Circular Quay, Bar Patrón offers 19 varieties of Patrón Tequila, including exclusive and limited-edition releases, some of which are not available anywhere else in the world.
Guests will be spoiled this annual imbibing holiday with a National Tequila Day package ($120pp) available for lunch and dinner, which includes a signature Patrón margarita on arrival, a tasting flight of Patrón Roca, Silver, Reposado and Añejo, followed by a share-style menu of traditional Mexican dishes paired with wine.
Here is the set menu for the day:

Totopos con salsa salsas with corn chips
Hand-pounded guacamole
Tiger prawns cheltepen chilli & molcajete salsa
Tacos

There will also be a full a la carte menu available, where tequila enthusiasts can explore a core range of Silver, Reposado and Añejo tequila, as well as the Roca Patrón and Gran Patrón luxury collections. Five limited and numbered barrel-select tequilas ― distilled exclusively for Bar Patrón are also available, alongside the rare Patrón en Lalique Serie 1 and 2. Only 500 bottles of Lalique Serie 1 were created, and only 299 bottles of Lalique Serie 2. Each limited-edition crystal decanter costs over AU$10,000.
Bar Patrón’s signature margarita is available with Silver ($21), Roca ($30) or Platinum ($40) Patrón. It will be mixed with Patrón Citronage, fresh lime juice and lime sherbet, and served in bespoke glassware with a salt rim. Happy hour prices see the signature Silver Patrón margarita available for $12 between 4pm and 6pm every day, with complimentary chips and salsa.
For those with expensive tastes, there is no better day to indulge than a Millionaire’s Margarita ($100), which is prepared in front of your eyes at the table. Sit back and watch this fabulous drink come to life: inhale the aromatics as lime and agave are hand-pressed and shaken with a trio of super-premium and rare spirits – Patrón Gran Burdeos Extra Añejo Tequila, which is aged in Premier Cru Bordeaux barrels; 150-year old, rich and luxurious Grand Marnier Cuvée du Cent Cinquantenaire; and the ‘King of Cognac’, Remy Martin Louis XIII. This stunning margarita is double strained over an ice sphere that is adorned with a shimmer of gold leaf and freckles of native finger-lime pearls and topped off with a dash of nitro.
Rockpool Dining Group beverage director Ali Toghani cannot wait for patrons to try their Millionaire’s Margarita.
“It is a tribute to the world’s highest quality, artisanal tequila made by Patrón, and a legacy of the alchemists and mixologists at Rockpool Dining Group,” Ali said.
“Whether it’s this flamboyant expression of a circa 1940s favourite, our signature margarita during happy hour, or a flight of extraordinary Patrón tequilas, we have something for everyone this National Tequila Day.”
