Uber – the pinnacle of our transportation existence.

Have you ever wondered as you’re mid trip bouncing to your destination what would get lost, or what would be found in the seats of that Toyota Camry?

Thankfully Uber has created a shortlist of these found items – and if this isn’t a conversation starter for your next trip, we don’t know what is:

  • X-rays
  • 18k gold smoke pipe (Uber LUX user right here)
  • A boom box
  • Gold wedding band
  • LCD TV
  • Ultrasound scans
  • A wig
  • A shotgun belt

Statistics have shown that in the past year, there have been a whopping 64,484 claims made by Australians who have forgotten something in their Uber ride. Most of which were lost on a Saturday and in Melbourne!

And no, New Year’s Eve surprisingly isn’t the day with the most lost items – it’s the weekend of March 26 and 27 – random, we know.

Unsurprisingly, mobile phones were the most common items left in Ubers in 2017.

Now, you may have left your wedding band (we wonder what happened there) or even your wig behind after a big night out… but our friends over in New Zealand have certainly taken the cake:

SOMEONE LEFT HIS MATE IN AN UBER AND THEN CLAIMED HIM AS LOST.

We can understand losing keys, a wallet and maybe even your dignity – but a friend. How?

On the other side of the planet, our pals in America are crazy.  Crazy enough to leave these unique items behind on their journey home:

  • Divorce papers
  • Star Wars Encyclopaedia
  • Letter from a boyfriend who’s in jail
  • Jet pack
  • Box full of hair extensions
  • Ukulele
  • A green Birkenstock (right shoe)
  • French Bulldog statues

And if you haven’t asked your driver if they’ve been busy, are you even using Uber?
