Explore your city for the first time all over again.
Two Australians living in Stockholm launched a city experience game that can only be described as a race, a game and a quiz all in one. The 100 Point Challenge is coming down under to test how well we really know our beautiful city of Sydney.
Originating in Stockholm in 2016, today, the European based city challenge is travelling 15,586 kilometres to Sydney’s streets.
Currently operating in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Sydney and soon, even Munich.
Explorers at heart, Founders Anna Millan and Dan Paech created the unique idea of the 100 Point Challenge so that travellers and locals could have an immersive, fun, educational and sightseeing experience in their chosen city.
The rules are simple: it’s a race, a game and a quiz. Choosing one of the three challenges, teams have two hours to search through the city walls to figure out the clues and answers. On top of that, whilst you’re navigating, you’re given a polaroid to take photo’s as documentation as well as a sentimental momento.
Sydneysiders have the option to choose between the three challenges: Convict’s Quest, Bushranger’s Bash and Hogan’s Hunt – all designed for people with different levels of knowledge about Sydney and Australian history and culture, as well as their competency levels with city navigation.
There’s no doubt that Sydney city is a haven for outdoor activities, which is why the 100 Point Challenge is the best opportunity for friends and even colleagues to challenge themselves through this adventurous, social and educational game.
“Sydney was an obvious choice given the beauty of the area around Circular Quay, and the interesting history in The Rocks,” said Anna.
Essentially, it’s a city exploration game that’s two hours of adrenaline fuelled fun. Participants race against the clock to solve a series of challenges, navigating their way around the city collecting points as they go. Ultimately the aim is to score 100 points… unfortunately less than 1% of teams have ever scored that!
