Drinking wine now helps rescue pets in need – bring us a bottle, stat.
Yes, the pawsitively good news is true thanks to the new wine range, The Sit Stay Society, a joint initiative from the teams at BWS and Dan Murphy’s.
The Sit Stay Society ranges consists of delicious half-bottle wines, clad with adorable, heart provoking imagery of pups, encouraging you to buy more fur-wine children.
But the cute artwork isn’t the only thing to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside – 50 cents of every bottle sold is donated to PetRescue’s free adoption programs and services – working towards a future where every pet is safe, respected and loved.
“We are thrilled to have Sit Stay Society wines come onboard to raise funds for PetRescue,” said Vickie Davy, PetRescue co-founder and joint CEO. “With 100,000 pets still killed in pounds and shelters in Australia every year, there’s so much work to be done in this space, and funding is crucial to impact. We are incredibly grateful for the support of Sit Stay Society wines to help us realise our vision of an Australia where every pet is safe, respected and loved. And if you can enjoy a wine and help pets at the same time, we say cheers to that!”
The Sit Stay Society labels are homages to popular dog breeds; Toby’s Shiraz Tempranillo Clare Valley 2017 is adorned by an illustration of a French Bulldog, while Max’s Cabernet Malbec Clare Valley 2018 has a King Charles Cavalier sketch, with the intention to expand the range with further breeds and wine varieties later in the yeah. We think of the bottles as the adult-only version of ooshies or mini collectables, except these ones are recyclable and go to a great cause.
The Tempranillo and Cabernet Malbec are available now for $10 per bottle at BWS and Dan Murphy’s.
