Vegan desserts that you can drink!

Want something tasty without getting hasty? These are three things Sydneysiders MUST try this March.

In collaboration with Gelatissimo’s new, decadent and surprisingly vegan range, Alibi Bar & Kitchen – Australia’s first 100 per cent plant-based hotel bar and restaurant – will be launching three boozy vegan shakes come Saturday 7 March 2020.

Just in time for Mindful March and Plant Power Day, Alibi will be releasing their For Goodness Shake menu for sustainable-minded Sydneysiders ready to shake things up.

But, forget kale, chia seeds and apple cider vinegar. These shakes are creamy, deliciously sweet and extremely food-coma worthy – much like the real deal.

The For Goodness Shake ($20 each) range features three spiked milkshakes – Pot of Gold, Triple Threat and Tropicolada – each using one of Gelatissimo’s newest vegan flavoured gelatos as its base.

So what can you expect from these tippled vegan creations?

Let’s start with Pot of Gold which uses Gelatissimo’s vegan Caramel Mudcake gelato mixed with Irish whiskey, almond milk, vegan whipped cream and vanilla. It’s then decorated with cranberry shortbread, toasted hazelnuts, honeycomb and a peanut protein ball.

Triple Threat is tippled with Frangelico, Disaronno, Beluga Vodka, Gelatissimo’s Triple Chocolate vegan gelato and laced with hazelnut spread. Your shake is finally adorned with a waffle cone, a brookie (combined brownie and cookie), toasted marshmallow and a vegan snickers.

For a more tropical taste, we’d recommend the Tropicolada. Made with Gelatissimo’s Coconut Cherry Choc gelato, 10-year-old Caribbean rum, falernum syrup, tropical purée, lime zest and finally topped with Persian fairy floss, hundreds and thousands as well as a ginger and macadamia cookie.

In collaboration with Gelatissimo, Alibi Bar & Kitchen will be featuring the For Goodness Shake creations on their Dirty Greens plant-based, vegan bar menu which was introduced late June 2019.

Or, if you want the taste without the tipple, you can try Gelatissimo’s limited-edition creamy vegan flavours – Caramel Mudcake, Triple Chocolate and yet-to-be-released Coconut Cherry Choc – which are available at all 47 Gelatissimo stores across Australia now.
