Spruce up that Christmas tree with these wild baubles!

Gingle Bells Gin is an all-rounder seller of cute Christmas baubles filled with gin, and with the silly season approaching, now is the best time to sample them.

Each of their gift packs comes with six botanical infused gin baubles decorated with a silver ribbon that’s perfect for hanging up on your Christmas tree. All their baubles are handmade by family-owned and operated Wild Hibiscus Flower Co. who specially craft the gin themselves in their newly constructed distillery.

Their gin is a homemade Australian dry concoction, with each bauble infused with different natural botanicals for a distinctive flavour and colour including Fingerlime, B’Lure Butterfly Pea Flower, Wattleseed, Snow Chrysanthemum, Wild Hibiscus and Pepperberry.

First up is Finger Lime Gin, which looks like a winter wonderland when you shake it, releasing the little lime juice balls from their cocoon. This makes the best gin & tonic, which Gingle Bells calls the F-Bomb Gin & Tonic. The balls dance up and down with the bubbles and pop in your mouth like a little bomb when you bite them.

Next is the B’Lure Butterfly Pea Flower Gin. It’s a magical deep blue gin infused with Butterfly Pea flowers grown in northern Thailand. This gin will make striking blue cocktails which turn pink and purple when you add lime juice. Use this bauble to make the spectacular Purple Rain cocktail. Or simply add tonic water and ice for two mysterious dark purple drinks.

Third is their Wattleseed Gin, an earthy gin with chocolate and hazelnut notes distilled with native wattleseed from the Australian outback. The flavour is perfectly suited for espresso martinis, easily making two The Wattleseed Express cocktails for you and a friend. Or just for you.

The fourth on the list is Snow Chrysanthemum Gin, a burnt orange bauble that captures the sunshine to make an incredibly complex and aromatic spirit. Snow chrysanthemum’s grow in the Kunlun mountain range at elevations above 3000m in Tibet, making it quite a unique concoction. This is quite perfect to sip on the rocks as you contemplate life or you could whip it up in a Temple of the Sun cocktail.

The fifth and most Christmassy in colour is the Wild Hibiscus Flower Gin. It’s a signature for Gingle Bells Gin, simply because it’s lovingly grown, handpicked and magically encased in a gorgeous bauble. It’s almost too pretty to imbibe on, sharing a deep red liquid glow. Save the hibiscus bauble for last to make two Rise n’ Shine prosecco cocktails.

Last but certainly not least is the Pepperberry Gin. The gin is encased in an antique pink bauble and gets its wonderful colour and hot spiciness from Australian native pepperberries which grow on a small rainforest bush at the Wild Hibiscus Co. farm in Kurrajong Heights. With this infusion you can whip up a Berry Pepper Kiss cocktail with muddled strawberries and basil. Top with a pepperberry, but be careful – they bite!

For a decorative touch, each of the baubles botanical flavour can be visibly seen in its centre with an ethereal floral element encased inside. Included in the gift set is a cocktail recipe to accompany each bauble’s unique gin. The gift set includes two 54mL baubles at 37% alcohol volume and four 50mL baubles at 40% alcohol volume.
