The River Boyne Fizz cocktail is named after Ireland’s prestigious River Boyne that stretches across 112 kilometres from Drogheda through to Cardbury. The river, which is used as a backbone for Slane Distillery, is described as charismatic, winding and mythic and is the inspiration behind this refreshing drink. Slane Irish Whiskey’s River Boyne Fizz cocktail is easy on the palate with a zesty splash of lemon juice and features a subtle current of orange bitters throughout.
INGREDIENTS
1 1⁄2 parts Slane Irish Whiskey
3⁄4 part oloroso sherry
1⁄3 part orgeat (almond) syrup
3⁄4 part lemon juice
Dash of orange bitters
Soda
Rosemary sprig for garnishing
METHOD
- With ice, shake the Slane Irish Whiskey, the sherry, orgeat syrup, lemon juice and orange bitters.
- Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
- Top with soda and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary.
