From land to sea, this is the Australian-made bikini you need for summer 2021!

For the past eight years, IIXIIST’s designer and director, Rebecca Klodisnky has been making waves in the Australian swimwear industry. From starting her (then) side hustle from her bedroom floor with just $2000, to singlehandedly growing her empire into a globally recognised brand that is adored by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Rihanna and more; IIXIIST is doing more than just looking good.

With global warming, air pollution, waste disposal and water pollution being brought to Rebecca’s attention, she knew exactly what she had to do – and that was saying so long to unsustainable production.

Fast forward to today. Launching in December 2020, Australian sustainable swimwear label IIXIIST have announced their partnership with One Tree Planted – a non-profit environmental tree planting charity that plants trees in countries around the world.

Ensuring that they are still making waves and growing trees, IIXIIST pledges that for every order placed online, IIXIIST will plant a tree – taking a step forward for the future and allowing consumers to be the change themselves.

With monthly donations sent to One Tree Planted, IIXIIST promises that their brand and ultimately their buyers will be doing valuable work in recovering forests affected by the 2019/2020 Black Summer Bushfires which ravaged through much of Australia’s coastline.

Restoring not only Australia’s most charismatic native flora, IIXIIST’s partnership with One Tree Planted will also hope to provide native habitats vital for wildlife. With web sales averaging at approximately 1400 purchases per month, IIXIIST’s initiative is set to be one small step in rebuilding our ecosystem.

Of course, it’s not just their collaboration with One Tree Planted which make this brand more sustainable. Rebecca’s conscious mindset and authentic approach to IIXIIST is also sewn within each piece. Releasing a new collection constructed using only 100% recycled lycra, made from repurposed fabrications and ocean-waste including plastic bottles; IIXIIST wants to take matters just that one splash closer to ensuring that we are doing good and looking good, as well as existing in the most eco-friendly way we know how.
