If you’d rather pop, shot or sophisticatedly sip, your favourite spirit of choice will be shaken up into a pop-up bar this September.
From the creators of one of Sydney’s favourite, all-praising tequila bars – Tequila Mockingbird – come September and Sydneysiders will be able to drink and dine at their newest ingeniously concocted venue.
Meet Tequila on York – from Paddington’s heritage-listed terraced streets to now hanging off one of Sydney’s most bar-bustling locations; if you’re looking for the newest tequila-clad oasis, this is it.
Residing as a sister brand to Tequila Mockingbird which has been operating for over four years, now, the flavours will be transported into the heart of Sydney.
With Latin American-inspired share plates at the forefront of their food menus, of course Sydney’s tequila and mezcal lovers will be tippled heavy in choice with Tequila on York’s focus on this refined spirit.
Opening their doors from Wednesday 02 September until Friday 09 October 2020, this new, pop-up bar to hit Sydney’s streets will embody some of the much-loved flavours Tequila Mockingbird is renowned for.
Led by Tequila Mockingbird’s executive chef, John Frid, Tequila on York will explore much of Frid’s experience, uniqueness and innovativeness even more so at the York Street hailing venue. Passionate about creating and delivering the true spirit of Latin American culture and cuisine, Sydneysiders will be able to explore Frid’s most renowned dishes over the month in an ever-evolving four-course, eight-dish set menu.
With the likes of Hiramasa Kingfish Ceviche, Spinach Queso Tamales, Ironbark Grilled Chicken and a Tres Camotes tart served with sweet potato ice cream taking centre stage, there’s no denying that your visit will certainly be enriched by the authentic taste of the Tequila Mockingbird brand.
As for the interiors, Tequila on York, previously an old printing shop, will find guests seated in an ambience that compiles a mix of heritage meets modern with heavy reflection on original exposed sandstone walls, towering archways and refined timber beams that shine the light on any Sydney foodies new found favourite dining venue.
Plus, to add a stir of luxury to your visit, guests are provided a number to call upon arrival and from there they will be personally escorted into the concealed location for a unique, private dining experience.
Opening this Wednesday 02 September, Tequila on York will allow groups up t0 10 for lunch and dinner all in line with current COVID-19 government restrictions. With bookings essential, Tequila on York are currently taking seatings for lunch at 12pm and dinner at 6pm or 8:30pm.
