Accommodation can be expensive. Luxury accommodation can be even more expensive. So when we start talking about presidential suites, the numbers can get a little crazy – but there is market for them. And with skyline or waterfront views (sometimes both), private pools, walk-in wardrobes, and decked out interiors, it’s no wonder we love looking at them – even if they’re way out of price range.

Park Hyatt, Sydney
Sydney’s CBD undoubtedly offers some of the most showstopping views, and the Park Hyatt has one of the best – the private balcony has 360 degree terrace views overlooking the harbour. Imagine stepping outside New Year’s Eve and having your own private space to watch the fireworks – pretty impressive huh? It comes with two bedrooms, indoor and outdoor dining areas fit for eight people, and its very own butler service. There’s also a dry sauna and steam room, a fireplace, and a gobsmacking five TVs in total within the suite.

Ty Warner Penthouse, Four Seasons Hotel, New York City
Claiming the lauded title of the most exclusive suite in New York, the Ty Warner Penthouse was the catalyst for world-famous architect I.M Pei to come out of retirement to design the hotel building that it tops. With cantilevered glass balconies and floor-to-ceiling views showing off the beauty of the New York skyline, the suite also comes with a library and a spa area with a personal trainer and all the massages you’d need. And so you sleep in style, the bedspread even has 22 karat gold thread woven through it.

Corinthia London’s Royal Penthouse Suite, London
Corinthia London’s royal penthouse suite more than makes up for London’s bustling streets with its 5000 square feet of space. There’s a private spa, walk-in wine cellar, private study equipped with a fireplace and three TVs, lounge with a small bar, and marbled master bedroom. To top things off, the two-story penthouse comes with its own lift, a multilingual 24-hour butler, a personal shopper and a complimentary shoeshine service.

Hotel President Wilson, Geneva
Believed to be the most expensive hotel suite in the world, Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson have all stayed here. The suite is 18,000 square feet and takes up an entire floor with its 12 double bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms. Take your friends or family and treat yourself to a private butler, chef, and security team, as well as an expansive view of the beautiful Lake Geneva. Oh, and did we mention it also has its own private elevator, fitness gym, workout room, mini bar, and a Steinway grand piano?

Intercontinental, Hong Kong
Hong Kong tends to have light shows on the buildings overlooking Victoria Harbour, and in this suite, you’ll have the front row seat every night. The suite’s balcony also has an infinity pool and a jacuzzi, because you know, why not? There’s a 24-hour butler service, five bedrooms, dining room, private study, gym and a bathroom with a rain shower, sauna, steam room and another jacuzzi, all wrapped up in 7000 square feet of luxury accommodation.

Hotel Principe di Savoia, Milan, Italy
Move over Antiques Roadshow, this presidential suite is about to steal the show. The 500 square foot suite is decorated with Venetian XIX century mirrors and Murano glass light fixtures, as well as many other extravagant pieces that adorn the suite’s three bedrooms, dining room and bar. The suite also has a Pompeii- style spa with a pool, whirlpool, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath – just incase one wasn’t enough.
